Caitlin Cameron has a background in architecture, urban design, and city planning. As an urbanist, designer, and book artist fascinated by the living organism that is the city, Caitlin uses maps and guidebooks to explore and display the relationship of people and the built environment. Caitlin’s work is hosted under the name The City Found.
Originally from Carmel, Indiana, Caitlin has lived without a car for twenty-two years in cities like San Francisco, Boston, Rome, Ithaca, and Portland, Maine. She enjoys the unique perspective inherent to the pedestrian mode and how the pace of walking allows for contemplation and observation (not to mention good exercise).
This photograph was taken in City Hall where Caitlin served as the Urban Designer for 8.5 years and oversaw Portland’s public art program.
